Our History and Mission

BCTA Photos
The BCTA is a non-profit organization based in Brown County Wisconsin and whose spotlight is to provide opportunities for adults and youth to develop their tennis skills and knowledge through lessons and competitive play in a positive and professional environment.

The BCTA organization was founded in 1983, with Bob Luedtke as its first president. The BCTA consists of five Executive Board members along with approximately twenty-five Active Board Members.

This diverse group of individuals all energetically works with area schools, communities and tennis clubs. Its goal is to increase the number of participants by at least one hundred new players annually by expanding the grassroots programming for the beginner tennis player.

The BCTA Mission is to provide a forum for Brown County residents to develop their health and physical fitness via improvement of athletic and competitive tennis skills, while embracing the sport’s ultimate demand, Sportsmanship.

BCTA Sportsmanship values will continue to focus on:

BCTA Values

Through development of these values BCTA aims to improve the character and potential lifelong success of our members and all participants, teammates and competitors alike.  BCTA commits to work closely with the Park and Recreation Departments and the School Districts within Brown County to provide programs to facilitate this mission for Brown County youth, and for
the many adults involved in the program.
